Disney Princess inspired drawings

The below image is a picture of me, which I recreated using a Disney Princess drawing style (January 2011).

At the end of last year I also drew a Disney Princess style picture for my sister Felicity (Late 2010).

Me

Visit @  http://www.picnik.com/app#/home/welcome if you want to make collages of your photographs, and for any editing purposes. I just discovered this site and already have been playing with a few of my photographs on it. What fun!

KARATE

Karate is my favourite sport. Previously, I had been involved in netball, however, didn't particularly enjoy it. Since moving to Adelaide four years ago I took up karate within a week of moving here. I can't say that I am overly good at it, it really is such a cognitive sport that you really need to apply yourself too. However, it is so much fun - and as long as I am having fun it is definitely worth it.

My karate Sensei asked me to draw him a picture, so I did (late 2010). The Kanji (writing) in the background reflects the Dojo kun, kanji for the 5 karate principles.

TR - Papa vs. Pretty

I discovered an amazing up and coming band on myspace, who call themselves Papa vs. Pretty. I feel in love with their sound immediately and believe that they are going to be quite BIG someday.

Find them @ http://www.myspace.com/papavspretty

Thomas Rowle, talented with any musical instrument and the amazing voice behind Papa vs. Pretty, also has such a captivating face - so naturally inspired, I decided to copy a still of him (late 2010).

Chloe doll

I made this picture for my beautiful cousin Chloe, mid 2010.

Bits & Pieces

A few bits and pieces dating from late 2009 to early 2010, mainly originals with a couple of Disney stills (Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Rapunzel).

MARTiAN CHILD AKA Bobby Coleman

My favourite child actor by far is Bobby Coleman. I first noticed him in the 2007 film MARTiAN CHILD, which incidently is also one of my favourite films. I decided to draw him, early 2010, and it is still one of my favourite pictures.

Matthew Gray Gubler

One of my obsessions, is none other than Spencer Reid played by Matthew Gray Gubler in the TV series Criminal Minds. This is one of my first attempts (2009) at portraying a person in a cartoon/ Tim Burton lke style drawing / water painting.

The First Step into the Narnia Wardrobe

I am referring to this post as reflecting my first step into the Narnia Wardrobe. Partly because of my child-like mindset but mainly due to the simple fact that anything posted online is destined to enter a whole new world of possibilities.
Currently, I am using this blog to post drawings/ water paintings I have done over the last year as a form of motivation... If you are reading this, thank you and I promise to have this blog up and going shortly.
